Francesca Aniballi

I am doing postgraduate research in Comparative Literature in the UK, focusing on recent versions of magical realism in Italy, Scotland and Germany.

I have worked as a foreign language assistant for the City of Edinburgh Council and as a translator-trainee and researcher at the Italian Foreign Office, as a freelance language tutor and teacher and as a translator.

I specialized in modern languages and literatures (English, German and Italian) and social anthropology, in Italy and in Scotland. Through social anthropology I developed a profound interest in alternative spiritualities and Rudolf Steiner's work, which I have been researching for a few years now.

My goal in writing for Suite101 readers is to provide articles which are informative, inspirational and thought-provoking at the same time... thank you for your interest!
