Alexandra holds the Certified Financial Planner designation and has worked as a licensed investment advisor at several branches of one of the largest investment firms in Canada.
She currently works as an independent fee-for-service financial planner preparing comprehensive financial plans for individuals, professionals and families, as well as preparing tax returns for individual Canadians.
A graduate of Waterloo and Queen’s universities in Ontario, Alexandra has a Bachelor of Environmental Studies and a Master of Arts in Political Studies. She has also completed the Canadian Securities Course and the coursework for the Professional Master of Public Administration degree.
Her interests are diverse and include families and public policy, tax policy, health policy, the history and operation of social service programs in Canada, demography and retirement planning.
Alexandra’s advice and writing has been featured in MoneySense magazine, Advisors’ Edge (a specialty publication for financial advisors in Canada), the Toronto Star newspaper, and more.
