Andrea Aker founded Aker Ink Public Relations in 2007, armed with a diverse background in many facets of journalism including newspaper, television and online. Her enthusiasm for media is fueled by a love of current events and pop culture. As a result, her beats have run the gamut from sports to hard news to personal finance. Andrea has served as a freelance writer for newspapers, magazines and Web sites for more than nine years. Currently, she is the editor of Arizona Oddities.

As the president of Aker Ink, Andrea helps small and mid-sized businesses reach their true potential in the marketplace. Core services include strategic media relations, marketing communications, social media, branding and corporate copywriting. In addition, Andrea assists charitable non-profits with grant writing and sponsorship development.

Andrea received her Bachelor of Arts in journalism from the University of Arizona, and she earned her Master's of Mass Communication at Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism, specializing in online media.
