I'm an writer, travel addict and English teacher; I'm currently based in my home country, Australia, but I'm obsessed with travel and learning about new places.
A highlight of my life was a Trans-Siberian rail journey from Vladivostok to St Petersburg, followed by months wandering from the Baltics to the Balkans. Other favorite journeys include several weeks backpacking around Tunisia, spending a Christmas in Finnish Lapland and heading to the outback in Australia.
I write daily posts for jaunted.com, a pop culture travel guide, HotelChatter.com, and spin yarns about my travels at Vagabondish. My articles have been published in Student Traveler, Go World Travel, hidden europe, Inside Out Travel and many others. Teaching English as a foreign language is my second area of expertise and my students inspire me to learn about their cultures and countries too. Beyond travel writing, I'm determined to become a published novelist. Becoming a Fiction Writer follows my journey from ideas through NaNoWriMo drafts to revising and editing my novel manuscripts - and hopefully, to publication.
