My name is Adry and I have been passionate about pets for all my life. I have been raised among litters of kittens so cats turned out being my best childhood friends. In 2005, I started working for an AAHA approved veterinary hospital and since then I have been addicted to learning all I could about pets and their care.
The vets kindly called me "their shadow" as I was always following them from room to room asking questions and trying to help out as much as I could. Every time a pet was seen I sneaked at the file to see what the vet's diagnosis was. I must admit I always wanted to become a veterinarian but I guess the money is really what has kept me away.
My bookshelves are full of books about pet care and in 2006 I started working online answering pet related questions and offering consultations. That same year I also published various articles about pet care for various online websites and newsletters. I have also sold some of my articles to various online magazines and blog owners.
In 2007 I started fostering sick kittens in my home. It is amazing how attached you get to these little fellows! I always had tears in my eyes upon returning them! However, it was great knowing that all were fully adopted, the satisfaction surely paid off!
I have a feeling that this passion is here to stay. I own currently 2 Rottweilers and 2 kittens. They were raised together and get along wonderfully. I love teaching my dogs tricks and I am quite savy about obedience training. I have obedience trained as well a few dogs for owners that were in need of assistance. Yes, indeed you can teach old dogs new tricks!
I am in the process of putting some money aside for becoming a certified veterinarian technican and I also want to take classes to become a certified dog obedience trainer. Learning is a life long process and I am surely eager to learn as much as I can! I hope you enjoy my articles, and that you find them useful!
