Admassu Kebede

Admassu is a freelance writer with vast experience in broadcast and print journalism. He served as editor with the English daily The Ethiopian Herald and the English weekly The Reporter. He was also editor-in-chief of the English Desk at the Ethiopian Television. Admassu edited UNESCO’s Education Decade Newsletter and at various times worked as a stringer for the BBC and Radio Jerusalem. For the last few years Admassu has been pursuing his graduate studies in the US. After earning his MA in Humanities, he enrolled on a PhD programme specializing in museum and ethnic studies. Presently he is finalising his doctoral thesis on ethnic and national identity in Ethiopia.
