Kimberly Rinker - Profile
<p>Kimberly Rinker, 40, is a licensed driver/trainer/owner of Standardbred race horses and has been involved with horses nearly all of her life. Rinker earned a BA in Journalism from The Ohio State University in 1983 and spent a year working in Switzerland, before moving to Chicago in 1984.</p>
<p>Since then she has worked as a free-lance writer/publicist for various racing organizations including: The Hambletonian/Breeders Crown Society, Sportsman's Park, Maywood & Balmoral Parks. Her stories have appeared in: The Chicago Tribune, Sports Eye, Hoof Beats, Prepared Foods, Produce Business, Horseman & Fair World, Police Magazine, Inside Lincoln Park and Avenue M.</p>
<p>Rinker maintains a small stable of horses in Chicago, and spent several winters racing at Pompano Park.</p>
<p>In 1995 she represented the United States in the International Drivers Championships in Moscow, Russia, as the lone female against 15 male rivals, finishing 3rd. She has also driven horses in New Zealand, Australia and Europe.</p>
<p>Currently Rinker pens a weekly column in Horseman & Fair World Magazine.</p>
