Karen Yang - Profile

Karen first became owned by her daughter's two gorgeous black hooded rats (Robbo and Tucker) in 1996. It was then that she stumbled on an entire new subculture, which is threatening to take over the planet! After getting terms like "myco", "Berkshire", "PEW" and "bruxing" straight, she got into trouble by joining several rat clubs and ended up with a whole rattie ruckus (21 at last count). From dealing with misaligned teeth to coping with groups of scared rescues, from enjoying the birth of 10 surprise baby pinkies to easing departures to the Rainbow Bridge, it's been a learning experience in life, death, love and overcoming prejudice that she's tremendously grateful for. It's surprising how much a tiny little bit of fur with a long tail can teach a person, and she's still learning!

Karen lives in northeastern NJ, and when she's not attempting to run The Rat-alog, she's a homeschooling mom, wife, gardener, cook and generally busy person who probably spends too much time online for her own good....
