<p>Since 1993, Flash has been an integral member of the internet's hip-hop community. Among other things, Flash founded the Committee of Rap Excellence (C.O.R.E.), founded the first e-zine dedicated to hip-hop (HardC.O.R.E., now known as HEADz UP!), and wrote the RFD and CFV which created the newsgroup rec.music.hip-hop. He has contributed to a wide variety of projects, including the 20th Century Dictionary of African-American culture, and he is a regular hip-hop columnist for the e-zine 181.4 Degrees, as well as continuing to edit and publish his own HEADz UP! magazine. Flash also maintains the single largest archive of hip-hop lyrics to be found anywhere on the net; which can be accessed through his homepage and is either FTP or WWW accesible, unique among hip-hop lyric archives.</p>
