<p>I began my travel career as a tour escort for AAA Auto Club South, accompanying tour groups all over the world. I soon realized that AAA needed a travel magazine to present their tours, and I became the founding editor and travel writer for AAA Going Places which now reaches 4.5 million AAA members on the East Coast of the U.S.</p> <p>One of my favorite destinations is Greece, and I acquired a house on the Greek Isle of Paros where I spend an occasional few weeks whenever possible. However, my home is on Clearwater Beach in Florida, so I enjoy the best of both worlds.</p> <p>Two years ago I became the editor and travel writer for Marco Polo Adventure Travel Magazine. Now I realize that the internet is the communication tool of the future and hope to bring my humor and sense of adventure to Suite101.com in my quest to uncover colorful new destinations in the Southeast United States as well as to revisit popular areas of the Old South. I'll be looking forward to building relationships with all of you.</p>
