Hello, I am currently an associate professor at the A.T. Still University of Health Sciences/Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (KCOM). I am interested in the microorganisms that cause human illness. I am interested in health and health related issues.

I graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (1980) with a B.S. in Biology. I then went to Ohio State University and obtained my Ph.D. in Medical Microbiology and Immunology (1985). After graduation the we moved to Dallas, Texas. I was a postdoctoral fellow for 3.5 years at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas. I was offered a faculty position at KCOM in March of 1989. I am still at KCOM and am currently a tenured associate professor.

I live in a small midwestern town that I have grown to love. It is a great place to raise my kids.
