Gail Ford - Profile

Hello. My name is Gail Ford and I am married to a knifemaker.

There, I said it! Quite a few years back my hubby decided to pursue the art of custom knifemaking. This was way back in the dark-ages....you remember...the time when you had to actually send away in the mail for information and then wait for Mr. Postman, or drive to the mall and, hopefully, buy a book, or visit someone who had already traveled the path you were eager to follow. You know, those dark-ages before the Net, niched-out videotapes, and Overnight Express!

Well, many things have changed since then. Due to a disabling injury to my husband, we have pursued the art of knifemaking from a different angle; learning, writing and researching knives. The computer has helped to fill the void created when our journey changed directions. I am also a freelance writer and I have met many knifemakers in my travels on the web. They are an interesting group of men and women who are very willing to share their expertise in order to further the craft, not selfishly hoarding their information.

Whether you are knifemaker, collector or just a person stumbling upon a new topic, I hope you will find this journey as interesting as I do. Please keep in mind that my site here is interactive. I appreciate feedback, covet your suggestions, and will try to endure criticism. Be kind, and feel free to email me. —|—>

Happy to make your acquaintance,

Gail

</left><left>

PS...check out the pic on my Welcome Page - Maker- Sky Ford, 1988.

Tetelestai

John 19:30

Some great "knife" links:

http://www.knives.com

http://www.knifeart.com

http://www.bladeforums.com

and some great writing links:

http://www.bluecollarpress.com

http://www.momwriters.com

http://www.inkspot.com

http://www.writers.com

http://www.offthewallemporium.com/momwriters.html

http://www.thequill.com
