Michael Souza - Profile

Michael Souza is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island. He has worked as an Engineer and in Human Resources, and has authored more than fifty environmental studies.

Mr. Souza has followed a variety of sports for over 35 years, having attended hundreds of sporting events from professional baseball to high school hockey. He has hiked extensively and is a member of the White Mountain 4000 Footer Club. He has also hiked in New York, Maine, Massachusetts and Vermont.

He is a student of the Martial Arts and has earned the rank of First Degree Black Belt (Shodan), in Uechi Ryu Karate Do in 2000 from the late Master Charles C. Earle. He has also studied Tai Chi Chuan from Grandmaster Doc-Fai Wong.

Mr. Souza has followed Horse Racing since the days of Secretariat. He currently writes for several Sports websites.
