Welcome to my profile! My name is Lisa Barger and I am a traditional naturopath specializing in natural health education.

In my career, I've been fortunate to work with (and study under) some of the most respected professionals in natural medicine. I am certified in all major disciplines of natural medicine including Ayurveda education, traditional Chinese herbology, American herbology and homeopathy.

Today, I write exclusively for myself and Suite101 but past articles I've written appear on literally hundreds of web sites, including my own, LisaBarger.com. I've written everything from herbal monographs to articles debunking some of the most popular natural health practices.

I believe in what I call "Empowerment through Education" because I believe that when you have access to quality information, it's easier to make an informed decision about your own health.
