To stay motivated to write despite getting rejected a gazillion times a day, I blog. Visit Quips & Tips for Freelance Writers if you're passionate about anything - not just writing. This blog is about pursuing your goals, struggling with motivation, and working hard to make your dreams come true.

My Quips and Tips for Healthy Women website is my most beloved baby. I pair inspirational quotations from strong women in history - from Amelia Earhart to Suze Orman - with practical life tips. It all revolves around the idea that "well-behaved women rarely make history" (thank you, Laurel Thatcher Ulrich!).

Back to writing: you'll find my articles in publications such as Reader's Digest Online, Woman's Day, alive, Esteem, Natural Health, Spirituality & Health, and sometimes More. Writing about health and wellness, new research discoveries, and living big is what I do best.

My online articles include:

My professional goals include writing for national magazines such as Psychology Today, Oprah and Body & Soul. I'm also working towards two contracts for my non-fiction books about living green and strong women in history.

My degrees are in Education and Psychology from the University of Alberta, in Edmonton. I lived and taught in Nairobi, Kenya, for three years and have explored much of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Now, I live with my husband on a small island off the coast of British Columbia.
