Barb Alexander - Profile

Confessed wordsmith Barb Alexander is an editorial director for a marketing company in the Florida Panhandle. She holds a master's degree in English education and taught <A HREF="http://www.gtps.k12.nj.us/">junior high school</A> for several years in her home state of <A HREF="http://jerseyshore.about.com">New Jersey</A>. While living in <A HREF="http://www.camvista.com/england/london/bigben.php3">England</A> and <A HREF="http://www.provence-beyond.com">France</A> with her military husband for the past few years, she was the European correspondent for her <A HREF="http://www.hammontongazette.com">hometown newspaper</A>.

Barb has always revelled in using "S.A.T. words" and has been known to proofread newspapers and magazines just for fun (she doesn't tell too many people this in person!). Although she doesn't claim to have any phobias, unparallel sentence structure makes her quite dizzy. She loves the three "r"s...creative wRiting, Reading, and being a great Reference source, as she often tips friends and family off to books and Web sites she thinks they would enjoy.

Aside from this passion for the English language, Barb's interests include <A HREF="http://www.virgin-atlantic.com">travel</A>, <A HREF="http://www.sephora.com">cosmetics</A>, French <A HREF="http://www.evineyard.com">wines</A> and <A HREF="http://www.dibruno.com">cheeses</A>, and <A HREF="http://www.britannia.com/history/h6f.html">the history of the British monarchy</A>. In her free time she can be found buried in a corner of a bookstore, with a cappuccino and a pile of books and magazines.
