I have been a journalist for 25 years and have worked on a variety of local, national, trade and business newspapers and magazines in the UK as a reporter, feature and column writer and sub editor, both as a staff member and freelance contributor. That's how I've earned my crust, and I've built quite a strong reputation as a business and City writer, but I've a huge range of interests and passions apart from business and finance which my journalism skills mean I can write about as well. These range from English rural, urban and industrial history, art history (I've an Open University degree in Art History) and religion and theology (I'm studying for a Bachelor of Divinity degree at the University of London) to politics and mythology and folk tales.
