Well.. lessee. I'm just your basic, down to earth, Mom. A little bit Donna Reed, a little bit Erma Bombeck and a little bit Roseanne with a smidgeon of Indiana Jones tossed in for good measure. I grew up in the south and lived there until my mid-life crisis kicked in and I handed the Ryder Truck company 1250.00 and asked "How far will this get me from here?" The answer was Montana..purty close to Canada in fact. I was a single Mom, of two boys, and moving to a place where we knew not a soul was pretty frightening! Luckily, I had that Indiana Jones gene that kicked in full force. I returned to school while living in Montana, majoring in English. During a writing assignment I logged on to the internet looking for interesting stories and met the one man in these United States that could put up with me. We met face to face about 6 months later, and about 4 months after that I moved across country yet again. We were married 4 years ago and are currently living happily ever after. My hobbies include gazing at cloud shadows, fishing, photography, crafts, fishing, reading, exploring, fishing, teaching our mutts new tricks, watching movies, surfing the web, cooking, and have I mentioned fishing? My body dwells in the southwest, but my spirit dwells in a narrow canyon among the moss covered rocks along an icy stream in northwest Montana. I am a volunteer on-line chat and message board Host for Parent Soup, on AOL where I offer support and information to parents with troubled children. I discovered Suite101 recently and spend as much time here as I do on AOL. I hope you will enjoy this site as much as I have! |
