I was born in South Australia some 39 years ago. My interest in chickens began as a very small boy, when my father raised Australorps for the table and eggs. The local librarian gave me two wyandotte bantam pullets in 1969 and that was my first foray into exhibition chickens. Since that time, I have kept many different breeds of chickens, pigeons and ducks and still show and judge chickens throughout New South Wales (Australia) to this day. I also like to grow daffodils and other bulbs and enjoy spending time with my kids. I probably spend too much time on the internet and have many favourite sites to numerous to list. PS. Most Australians say "chooks" instead of "chickens". I will, however, continue to use the term "chicken" (without guilt) so all readers around the world know what I am talking about. |
