Gwendolyn Copeman - Profile

Gwendolyn Copeman, J. Liolios

For 8 years I wrote a weekly humour column for the local newspaper featuring my life as a single homeowner as well as my travels to various locations around the globe. In the past I have had my non-fiction published in Wordworks, BC Outdoors, TG Magazine, Cottage Magazine and a variety of smaller magazines. My short fiction has appeared in Alpha, Chanticleer, Tickled By Thunder, Canadian Children's Annual and Chickadee Magazine.

My story "Roger and the Neon Stone" was nominated for the Sheila Egoff award, and the story "Watermelon Seeds" won an Honourable Mention in the Clem Battye Legacy Award Writing Contest.

Besides travel, my interests include gardening, reading, hiking, biking and kayaking.
