I am a writer, editor and designer who travels the country, teaching about quilting and quilt history. I have 5 books in print, including the bestselling HANKY PANKY CRAZY QUILTS (now in its eleventh printing), and the upcoming CRAZY QUILTS (winter 2008) from Voyageur Press. I am also a certified appraiser who specializes in textiles, but also does a great deal in paper ephemera, books and glass.
I've written hundreds of articles on subjects from needlework to finances/family living to travel & history, and have been a columnist for magazines and newspapers. I've published not only in craft magazines like AMERICAN QUILTER and QUILTER'S NEWSLETTER (I was an editor for the latter for four years), but in the DENVER POST and Boulder, CO's DAILY CAMERA.
I am intrigued by mysteries past and present, travel, especially to the unexpected, and common sense. I live in Castle Rock, CO with my husband and two spoiled Weimaraners; our college-aged daughters live just up the Front Range, in Boulder.
