Karen Jenista - Profile

While I don't have an official degree in "household engineering," I am 38 and have been a housekeeper and parent for 19 of those years. Since "home" is wherever the Navy sends us, it is very important to me to create a true sense of home for my family--a place where we can relax, receive sustenance and comfort, and develop our individuality in a secure environment. It's an evolving process. I continue to research and explore ways to organize, maintain, nurture, balance, work, play, and grow.

Internet access has greatly enhanced my research efforts. I use it to satisfy my curiosity, find specific information, and correspond with family and friends. How did we manage without it?!

Besides being a homemaker and mother, I'm a writer. I dabble in a variety of areas, but my passion is adult novels. When I'm not engaged in any of these roles (when would that be?!), I enjoy books, exercise, music, dance, people, and crossword puzzles (especially the New York Times Sunday Crossword!).
