<p>My name is Josie Whitehead. I am a children's poet from Yorkshire, England.</p> <p>I have written about 450 poems for children, which are freely available on the internet. (Just Google: Josie's Poetry) I have added my own voice recording and illustrations,. All of my poems are very soon to be published, which, considering I have only written them in the last two to three years is amazing, and considering I am a grandmother aged 67 years.</p> <p>The details of my books will shortly appear on my internet website.</p> <p>In addition to the books, I am hoping that my poems will also be made into cards for birthdays, Christmas and other special occasions. Children have asked especially for this as they love the characters in my poems.</p> <p>Children and adults have also asked if I can get the poems added to animated film or film to accompany the poems, and if anyone has connections with anyone who might be interested in doing this, please let me know.</p> <p>I make visits to local schools, libraries, run the Children's Corner at the prestigious Ilkley Literature Festival, and I make Skype visits to classrooms far away from my home town. What a wonderful invention skype is for, as long as the school has a webcam too, children can see me in their classrooms, hear me reading my poems to them, listening and talking to them, and, more importantly, they can read their poems to me and get help.
