Amy Urquhart is an editor, freelance writer, wife and gardener living in Bowmanville, Ontario. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in English from the University of Western Ontario in 2001 and continues to study Psychology on a part-time basis at Trent University. Amy has been a professional in the publishing industry since 2001. Amy has been writing weblogs for several years, including her personal blog, Assertagirl. Recently, she has been telling of adventures in home co-ownership, her marriage to Graham, and the management of their first home together. Amy is a member of Canadian Organic Growers, and volunteers in her local community garden. She is also a member of BlogHer, "The Community for Women Who Blog." Amy currently recounts her experiences with organic gardening at home and in her local community garden at Playing in the Dirt. She has also contributed to the popular urban gardening website You Grow Girl, Moms Speak Up, and is the lead blogger at BlogHers ACT Canada. |
