Esther Wullschleger - Profile

I studied biology and currently work as a freelance writer with a main interest in animals. Both my masters degree and my ph.D. base on work with freshwater snails, thus I have a relatively broad knowledge in this group of organims and a couple of years experience in handling freshwater snails.

Today, I keep an aquarium with apple snails and a few native freshwater snails, besides some other pets. I am living in a small house at the countryside in eastern Switzerland. A further important hobby of mine is nature photography, and if given an opportunity, I like to travel to nice places, enjoy nature and watch animals.

What regards my profession, I have a strong interest in ecological and biological sciences, in nature conservation and in environmental issues.
