I still have a difficult time answering "what do you want to be when you grow up?" Nurse or doctor? Chef? Lawyer? I hate arguments. Writer? Can't make a living writing.

I've been proving myself wrong ever since. I have a journalism degree from the University of Arizona and since leaving college I've worked as a public relations assistant, writing basic press releases and service descriptions, and as a copy writer/editor for a women's fashion mail-order company. I've written short stories and poetry, and run an online critique group and a one-day writer's roundtable. I also write a blog on life in arid country.
