Running Forward ~ Looking Back

Book Reviews for "Running Foward ~ Looking Back"

Author; Lynn Seely.

(THIS BOOK IS KID SAFE) As a matter of fact, several chapters feature teenagers. Readers that enjoy any of the "Chicken-Soup" series will love this book. Runners of any ability will love it too!

As most of you know, I occasionally review running books.

With that, I humbly present what others have said about my book, Running Forward ~ Looking Back. I add (with a smile) that no one was paid for their review.

Book Reviews.

Rich Benyo; Editor of "Marathon & Beyond" wrote; 11-16-01: " Lynn Seely's book is filled with a warmth of experience and a refreshing series of insights into the experience of moving through the world under your own power - something sorely needed these days. Lynn sees running as a cure for what ails you and a natural extension of your personality into the world around you. A truly pleasant read."

Joe Henderson wrote in his June 2000 RC issue:

JUST FOLKS

I just read an unusual running book. Unusual in a good way, that is.

Lynn Seely's Running Forward ~ Looking Back, Universal Publishers, is a collection of people stories. These aren't big-name runners, and in fact few of them are listed by more than a first name. They're seldom pinned down to a location or credited with a race time.

This approach strengthens the book. Seely ... turns her people into Everyrunner. She says, "It is my belief that almost every runner has a story to tell."

It is my belief that anyone's story can make good reading in the hands of the right writer. Lynn Seely observes, listens and writes unusually well. "Seely writes real stories about real people-people who touch a lifeline in anyone who's ever tied on a pair of running shoes. Her stories will touch your heart and warm your soul. Beth M. Eck, Associate Editor, Runner's World magazine

"Lynn Seely's new book, RUNNING FORWARD ~ LOOKING BACK, lives up to its title, and it will satisfy running fans and those who love adventure stories. When reading her book, I was always anxious to get to the end of each chapter and find out what twist would end the story. You will too." Ted Corbitt, Olympian; Ultra Distance Runner extraordinaire. Known as "The Father of Long Distance Running,"
