Quick Easter Gifts

Here are some quick fun gifts to make for Holiday Baskets a rabbit stuffed toy and some simple fashion doll dresses.

Quick Easter Rabbit

Materials:
Two ounces worsted weight yarn
Yarn Scraps or eyes and mouth
K crochet hook (USA)

Directions:

Body:
Row 1: chain 6 and then join with slip stitch to form a ring.
Row 2: sc around ring
Row 3: 2 single crochet in each stitch
Row 4: *1 sc then 2 sc in next stitch* repeat
Row 5: *2 sc then 2 sc in next stitch* repeat
Row 6 through 14: Work even sc.
Or as long as you want the animal body to be.
Row 15: Work sc in two stitches together to decrease every other one.
Row16: Work even sc.
Row 17 -19: Work two stitches together around to decrease.
Row 20: Draw stitches together and pull yarn through. Don't tie until stuffing is done.

Arms and Legs (make four) :
Row 1: chain 6 and then join with slip stitch to form a ring.
Row 2: sc around ring
Row 3: 2 single crochet in each stitch
Row 4- 10: Work even sc. Row 1: chain 6 and then join with slip stitch to form a ring.
Put on stitch holder. Stuff.

Head:
Row 1: chain 6 and then join with slip stitch to form a ring.
Row 2: sc around ring
Row 3: 2 single crochet in each stitch
Row 4: *1 sc then 2 sc in next stitch* repeat
Row 5-7: Work Even sc. Row 8: Work sc in two stitches together to decrease every other one.
Row9: Work even sc.
Row 10-12: Work two stitches together around to decrease.
Row 13: Draw stitches together and pull yarn through. Don't tie until stuffing is done.
Stuff.

Finishing:
Stuff all pieces with fiber fill. Stitch together with same yarn. Embroider face on rabbit.
Sew Felt ears on rabbit or pick up four stitches on head and sc four rows to make ears.

Fashion Doll Dress or Top.

Fingering or sport weight yarn (fingering looks nicer)
number three needles American
Top:
Cast on 15 st. Knit even until measures 3 inches.
Neck opening:
Then Knit 5 stitches, bind off 5 stitches, knit five. Work on five stitches for 8 rows or one inch depending .
Place these five on stitch holder and break yarn.
Go to other five stitches and do same until one inch long.
Then knit 5 , cast on 5, knit five off stitch holder working in broken off strand.
