Quick Valentine Gifts (knit or crochet)

You can make quick valentine gifts by either knitting or crocheting hearts! They can be combined to make sachets, ornaments, or if you have time a quick heart shaped pillow!

Directions:

Heart Shape-crochet

Point: To crochet a heart chain two. Row 1: chain 1, single crochet twice in each chain stitch. Row 2: Work even Alternate rows 1 and 2 to make the pointed part of the heart.

Body: When you reach a width you like simply work even until you have the body of the heart shaped as desired.

Heart tops:

To form the round heart top decrease by crocheting two stitches together and working row until middle of heart. Turn and chain 1 work even. Repeat until shaped as desired. Break off yarn and pull through last loop.

Repeat on other side of heart top.

Work in ends to finish.

Make two for a sachet. Sew together and stuff with herbs.

For a pillow make two to atleast 12 inches in width at main body section of heart. Stuff and sew together.

Heart Shape-Knit

Point: To cast on two stitches. Row 1: increase by working twice in first and last stitches of row. Row 2: Work even

Alternate two rows until point is desired size.

Body: When you reach a width you like simply work even until you have the body of the heart shaped as desired.

Repeat on other side of heart top.
