This is a pattern can be made in just two hours. It makes a lovely gift for someone in spite of the short time involved. I've made it in acrylic for the neighbors, and silk for my Mom!

Materials: J Crochet hook 2 oz of worsted weight yarn

Directions:

Row 1: chain 6 and then join with slip stitch to form a ring. Row 2: dc around ring Row 3: 2 double crochet in each Row 4: *1 dc then 2 dc in next stitch* repeat Row 5: *2 dc then 2 dc in next stitch* repeat Row 6: *3 dc then 2 dc in next stitch* repeat Row 7: *4 dc then 2 dc in next stitich* repeat Row 8: *5 dc then 2 dc in next stitch* repeat Row 9: *6 dc then 2 dc in next stitch* repeat Row 10: *7 dc then 2 dc in next stitch* repeat Row 11- 13: Work even with no more increases Row 14-19: *five dc then crochet two together* repeat Row 20: sc all around to firm edge.

Now you have a nice tam to pull on to block those winter winds!
