Tiffani Thiessen welcomed her first child Tuesday, June 15, 2010, in Los Angeles. She delivered a healthy baby girl weighing in at eight pounds, three ounces. She named the child Harper Renn Smith. Thiessen and her husband Brady Smith have been married for five years and have wanted to have a family for a long time.
Tiffani Thiessen Craved Meat During Pregnancy
Thiessen and her husband kept the sex of the baby secret, although they did find out themselves. She told People Magazine, "Are you kidding? My husband I were way too excited to wait. We needed to know right away."
A longtime vegetarian, Thiessen found that she began craving meat during her pregnancy. She told People, “I was a vegetarian for many, many, many years and all of a sudden I started to crave red meat." She said she received lots of attention and support from her husband, who gave her foot rubs during her pregnancy.
First Time Mom Tiffany Thiessen Was Anxious to Meet Her New Baby
Towards the end of her pregnancy, Thiessen was getting anxious to meet her new baby. On June 4th, she tweeted: “Okay, this child of mine needs to hurry up. Don't they know outside is so much more fun then inside?”
Thiessen was raised in Long Beach, California and has been known to television viewers in a variety of roles on regular series. She appeared in the teenage shows Saved by the Bell (as Kelly Kapowski) and Beverly Hills 90210 (as Valerie Malone) for five seasons on each show.
Thiessen Entered Modeling World Young, Which Led to Acting
She began modeling at the age of eight attended Valley Professional High School in California. She continued her modeling career by winning the Miss Junior America Beauty Pageant in 1987 and winning Teen Magazine’s Great Model Search in 1988.
Thiessen has also appeared in featured films such as Son in Law, with Pauly Shore, Love Stinks, and Ladies Man. She started her own production company, Tit 4 Tat Productions, in which she has made the short film Just Pray.
Thiessen is currently starring in the USA Network Show White Collar, and has already mastered the art of caring for others.
