Finnish online poker pro Patrik Antonius took Ilari Sahamies and Phil Galfond for $332,000 on August 18, 2010 at Full Tilt Poker's high stakes tables.

Poker professional Patrik Antonius has become famous for taking on the Tom Dwan sponsored Durrrr Challenge that pits the two poker pros against one another over 50,000 hands of online poker, which Antonius is now down an astonishing $2 million. However, on Wednesday August 18, 2010 Antonius was about to pull off an equally astounding night of poker that left him over $300,000 richer.

Antonius Players Pot Limit Omaha and 7-Game in Victories

Antonius' profits came at the expense of old friend and fellow Finnish player Ilari "Ziigmund" Sahamies and Phil "OMGClayAiken" Galfond, just to name a few as the high stakes action on the Full Tilt Poker tables was very active. Sahamies continued to take a particularly bad beating during the month of August as he dropped $149,400 more into the loss column.

Patrik Antonius took advantage of an off night from Galfond during his 600 hand session of $300/$600 Cap Pot Limit Omaha to bring about his serious $332,000 win for the night. That brings the Finnish high stakes player up to nearly $820,000 in profits for 2010, but still down $2 million against Tom Dwan in the Durrrr Challenge with 10,000 hands still to be played. It will be an interesting second half of 2010 for the Finnish poker star if he keeps up his move in the black with big wins like Wednesday's.

Other Pros Like Gus Hansen and Tom Dwan Take Losses Wednesday

In a night that was full of high stakes action Tom "durrrr" Dwan took to the virtual felt and came out the loser of $113,553. Dwan is known to have off nights and some terrible dry spells, but as of late the New Jersey native had been moving upward on a nice hot streak that has obviously cooled down. This cooler for Dwan does not bode well as the second Durrrr Challenge is set to begin soon against CardRunner instructor Daniel "Jungleman12" Cates.

Gus Hansen once again dropped into the red for an additional $266,243 in a horrible session of $200/$400 Cap Pot Limit Omaha. It had looked like Hansen's losing streak was tapering off during August as he started to pull off sessions of moderate winning, but with this latest hiccup in play the "Great Dane" Gus Hansen has dropped over $1 million in 2010.

With massive slides from Gus Hansen (-$266,243), Ilari Sahamies (-$149,400), and Phil Galfond (-$197,563) it was especially noticeable which player on Full Tilt came out on the positive end as Antonius cruises into the end of August up $820,000 for the year. Perhaps now that Antonius is solidly in the black for 2010 he will settle down with Tom Dwan and finish off the last 10,000 hands in the Durrrr Challenge.
