Marine Life Studies is a nonprofit organization specializing in research, education and conservation, and is dedicated to teaching and inspiring the public to protect marine wildlife and the environment. Marine Life Studies provides wonderful opportunities for children to learn about the ocean, the environment and the blue whales, humpback whales, killer whales, dolphins and other marine wildlife in the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary through classroom study, hands-on activities, and boat research trips.
Peggy Stap explains, "Children become excited and respond with unbridled enthusiasm! Their self-esteem builds, too, as they learn the value of becoming active stewards of the animals and environment entrusted to us all. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to present our programs at the BLUE Ocean Film Festival in Monterey. The Marine Life Studies mission is in perfect alignment with the BLUE mission."
