This week's show started with five celebrity apprentices competing for the top two spots. By show's end, there were only two left standing.

This week’s Celebrity Apprentice started with five celebs celebrating their ability to last this long through the season. Within minutes of the show starting, Donald Trump called the five to the boardroom and fired one. Within the first half hour, he fired two more.

The show ended with Bret Michaels and Holly Robinson Peete competing for the designation of this year’s celebrity apprentice.

Beginning in the Boardroom

Trump was accompanied by his son Donald Jr., and his daughter Ivanka this week. They got busy asking each of the remaining five celebs, Sharon Osbourne, Curtis Stone, Maria Kanellis, Bret Michaels, and Holly Robinson Peete why they should not be fired. Then he wanted to know from each who they thought should be fired based on overall performance throughout the past few weeks.

Most of the celebs thought Marie should go because she was the weakest player. Maria thought that Curtis should be fired. Trump wanted to know why she didn’t like Curtis or why she thought he was arrogant. Maria said that she made those comments in earlier shows because Curtis came into their dressing room, used the bathroom facility, and left the entire room in a stink.

Trump said he thought that the comment was rude and inappropriate for his boardroom and fired her.

Apprentice Interviews

Joan Rivers from last year’s Celebrity Apprentice and Bill Rancic from one of the earliest Apprentice shows come on this past week to interview the four remaining celebs to see who they thought would be the best in the finale. After interviewing Sharon Osbourne, it was clearly obvious that Sharon was not prepared to compete in the finale.

Sharon cried throughout the boardroom conversation and was open about not being able to live up to her commitments to her charity for colon cancer research. Trump fired Sharon. Rancic thought that Curtis Stone was a one trick pony and didn’t have the initiative to compete well in the finale. Trump fired Curtis. Holly and Bret were left in the boardroom and will be competing for the title on the finale.

Competitors Meet the Project

When Holly and Bret learned of their fate, Bret told Holly, “I want to get you drunk and hung over so you have problems functioning on the task.”

The task for the finale is to build a new Snapple tea flavor, do a television commercial, print ad, and plan and host an event. The winner will be judged on originality, creativity, and how well the celeb can integrate their charity’s mission and message all the while maintaining the essence of the Snapple brand. The new Snapple flavor will be sold across the United States.

The Competing Teams

Bret was sent two additional team members, Summer Sanders and Daryl Strawberry. Holly got Curtis Stone and one of the two people she had the most trouble with over the season, Maria Kanellis, as her team members.

Bret was happy with his team members. Summer kept him focused and on schedule while it appears Daryl Strawberry will be in the Snapple commercial.

Holly immediately started have trouble working with Maria. Nonetheless, the teams are a good mix. Maria may have had personality conflicts throughout the season but she did do a lot of work, most of it physical and Curtis has a great creative vision for displays and photo shoots.

Celebrity Weaknesses

Holly’s biggest hurdle throughout the season has been her creativity. She is well organized, stays on task, and gets the job done but she has had to rely on others for the creative side.

A direct opposite of Holly, Bret has a superb creative mind but he has trouble staying focused on the task and runs behind schedule more than not. A perfect example, he got a bit distracted auditioning female actresses for the television commercial and his team members had to redirect his attentions.

Celebrity Apprentice Finale

The final show of the season is next week, Sunday, May 23 on NBC at 9 p.m. The season has been lively, interesting, and with Bret Michaels still recovering from surgery and from a brain hemorrhage, the finale promises to be as exciting as the rest of the season has been.
