Discussions on Progress of Charter Schools

The first charter school originated in Minnesota in 1991. As of 2009, there were 41 states and the District of Columbia who had charter school laws in place. One of the key factors linked with charter schools is that they are free from regulations and rules that govern other public schools. Administrators and teachers in the charter schools appreciate the freedom of creating curriculum and playing a more significant role in the decisions linked with educating students.
The online chat hosted by Education Week will provide parents and teachers with the opportunity to have personal questions related to charter schools answered. Richmond and Hill have the expertise to address what charter schools can offer to students and can relate past success stories linked with these types of schools which are found throughout the country.
