Outlaws and Lawmen of Oklahoma
This neat website includes information about famous lawmen and outlaws of Oklahoma. Ma Barker, Pretty Boy Floyd, and many others are included. Also has a good set of links for other outlaw/lawman sites.


The Wild Bunch
This site has some great information about Butch Cassidy and the Wild Bunch. Also has links to other wild west sites.


Western Outlaw-Lawmen Association (WOLA)
This site excerpts articles from WOLA's quarterly journal. The society has annual conferences across the west featuring specific sites and personalities of outlaws and lawmen.


Wyoming Territorial Prison & Old West Park
The inspiration cornerstone of the park is the restored Wyoming Territorial Prison built in 1872. During its use as a federal and state penal facility (1873-1903) it housed Butch Cassidy and other notorious outlaws. Tour guides or a self-guided tour will take you through the old building for a glimpse of this unique institution.


Tom Horn
Tom Horn has been labeled as an outlaw by some, but working man by others. He is mostly known as an "enforcer" for the cattlemen during the range wars. What is your opinion?

This is a terrific website that contains all manner of information about the first transcontinental railroad. Learn about the people, the financing, the workers, and the work behind driving that first line across the United States. It contains many links to railroad history and has info about preserving photographs.

Many wonderful stories of all aspects of history, especially American history. Stories of American Indians, Indian battles, frontier characters such as Davy Crockett, etc.

Mountain Men and the Fur Trade
The the site's goal is to learn the arts and skills of the original American mountain men. The site has membership information and information about the fur trade. It has articles from past publications.
