The Feminist Majority Foundation works for social, political and economical equality for women. It focuses on research and education to improve women's lives. Their web site features daily feminist views, action items and an extensive feminist Internet gateway to women-oriented sites on a variety of topics. The web site also includes hotlines, a feminist university network, a career center, in-depth resources on topics such as sports or the federal budget, plus MUCH more.
2 Chicks, 2 Bikes, 1 Cause
The 2 Chicks Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating awareness of breast health among young women and raising funds for the cause. It started when Donna Murphy and Porter Gale went on a 5,000 mile bicycle journey across the US encountering young breast cancer survivors of all ethnic backgrounds. The journey has turned into a major campaign to help educate people about breast cancer. Very informative site!

This site takes a creative look at a very interesting part of women's in history - women pirates. The 18th century was the heyday of pirates. It was a culture manly swagger in which cowardice was often masked with drink, conspicuous weaponry and foreboding flags. This culture was so thick with "manliness" that it was illegal to have women on pirate ships. This site tells the story of women who were able to break through and be part of the pirate lifestyle.
