Lesson 4: Just for Fun Books
Everyone needs to have fun. Did you know you can have as much fun reading a great book as you can watching a good movie? Let's explore the world of books that are fun.
Attention Parents and Homeschoolers
All kids like to have fun. Do you have a child who is struggling with reading? If so, you might think about purchasing books that are fun for them to read. Every child has a hobby or something that they like to learn about. It might be animals, science, nature, flowers, games, famous people, history or other subjects. Seek out books that you know your child will be interested in. The subject matter may be all it takes to encourage your child to hone his reading skills. Children will not read books that hold no interest for them. If you purchase dull, boring books, they will lie on the shelf unopened. Unless a book is a gift, you might want to let your child chose his own books. Whether it is a book on Pokemon, games, or a joke book, the child will read it and that is your goal. Once he is interested in reading you can encourage him to read other genres.
