In this lesson we will look at chapters 13 through 16. They are: Unfortunate Conclusions, The Dodecahedron Leads the Way, This Way to Infinity, and A Very Dirty Bird. If you haven't read these chapters yet, please do so before continuing with this lesson.
Do Now for Chapters 13-16
Make a list of 5 word that have multiple meanings. Write two sentences for each word. Be sure that you use different meanings for each sentence.
Why did Milo jump to Conclusions? Why couldn't he jump back?
Chapter Summaries
In these chapters Milo continues on his trip toward Digitopolis. He returns the sound he stole from the Soundkeeper and leaves her to put the sounds back in their proper places.
As the travelers approach Digitopolis, they meet the Dodecahedron, a creature made out of many lines and angles with 12 faces. The Dodecahedron takes them to Digitopolis where they finally meet the Mathemagician - the ruler of this world of numbers.
The Mathemagician gives them several lessons in math and numbers. Finally Milo tricks him into letting them continue their journey to rescue Rhyme and Reason.
