Here is a small sampling of the many educational supply companies that offer materials and services to homeschooling families.

• Homeschool.com, http://www.homeschool.com ‘Your virtual homeschool.’ This site offers a large directory of links to homeschooling materials, curricula, supplies, books, articles, information, and more. Categories include adult learning, art and music, books, college, computer, current events, curriculum, family and adventure travel, history, math, phonics, reading and writing, reference, school supplies, science, social studies, software, special needs, and more.
• FUN Books, http://fun-books.com/ ‘For a lifetime of learning fun!’ This site provides a catalog of unschooling-oriented books, games, and other materials. Categories include arts and crafts, ballet, college and work, foreign languages, games, genealogy, geography and cultures, history, homeschooling, horses, math, music, reading and writing, science, spies and pirates, storytelling, unschooling, and more.
• Educators Publishing Service, http://epsbooks.com/ ‘Trusted literacy solutions for every child.’ EPS offers workbooks in vocabulary, reading, writing, spelling, language arts, and math. They offer free teaching resources such as sample pages, lesson plans, research papers, and other useful information.
• Frank Schaffer Publications, http://www.teacherspecialty.com/ This site offers supplemental educational materials for all ages, test preparation, standards, benchmarks. FSP offers more than 4,000 homeschooling educational resources including educational games, puzzles, children’s books, flashcards, and worksheets in math, phonics, handwriting, reading, science, Spanish, geography, and social studies. Many of their products are correlated to state standards.

• Center for Innovation in Education, http://center.edu/ ‘Teaching the way children learn.’ CIE offers math books, kits, manipulatives, and workshops. The site hosts a chat room and forums for discussion.
• Key Curriculum Press, http://keypress.com/ ‘Innovators in mathematics education.’ This site offers math educational materials including textbooks, supplementals, software, tools, and manipulatives.
• Saxon Publishers, http://www.saxonpublishers.com/ This site offers math, phonics and spelling, early learning, and physics educational materials. The site also offers online activities for homeschoolers.
• Microworlds, http://www.microworlds.com/ ‘Global leader in constructivist educational technology.’ This site offers software products in which children can create science simulations, mathematical experiments, interactive multimedia stories, etc.

Part of Homeschooling.com, this rental program for educational DVDs offers categories including animals, arts, biographies, business, communication, computers, ethics, geography, health and fitness, history, holidays, home and household, languages, literature, math, music, science, social studies, sports, and more.
