In this section of the course, your child will learn about the origin of the Bible, an easy way to learn and memorize the books of the Bible, and how the Bible is divided. This will require your child to have his/her NIV (NIrV) Bible with them.
It is also suggested (optional) that you use the template below as a basis for a song to teach your child the books of the Bible.

How We Got the Bible
What would you say if I told you there was a book that has a set of 66 books written by 40 different authors on 3 continents over a period of almost 1,500 years in 3 languages with one message: The Redemption of Mankind in Jesus Christ? That book is the Bible! So what exactly is the Bible, and why have so many people taken care of this book throughout the history of the world? Let’s explore.
The Bible is God’s Word. Every word written in the Bible is inspired by God. He used 40 different authors to write his words, so everyone anywhere could hear God’s message to us. It is a message of love and salvation. It is the one way God could communicate with every person to show that we are all His children.
The people that God used to write his Holy Word were kings, tax collectors, a doctor, fishermen, musicians, teachers, and many more. He used many different kinds of people to write the Bible. What is so amazing is that all of these people agreed on what was written. Prophets from the Old Testament predicted things that people in the New Testament wrote had happened in their time. Only through God could that have been done.
