Lesson 4: What made you think of that?
A brief overview of some of the thinking skills involved in chemistry, and science in general.
Introduction
Understanding chemistry, or any science for that matter, involves more than knowing the language and some facts. To really understand it and use it, you have to be able to think in certain ways. These can be taught. Once learned, these thinking skills will help you in more areas than just science. All learning can benefit, and these skills are highlighted in some GED testing. They involve the ability to build up your thoughts (inductive), break down ideas (deductive), compare, contrast, and identify problems in the thought process. Lastly, we will go over the culmination of the scientific thinking, the scientific method.
