Backyard Bird Habitats

Lesson 2: Food, Shelter and Water for Backyard Birds

Assignment; Bibliography

In Lesson Three you will build on the information learned in Lessons One and Two and apply this knowledge. You will refer to our textbook, The Audubon Backyard Birdwatcher, and to the web sites linked to this course, to assemble your ideas into a Backyard Habitat Action Plan.

Prior to Lesson Three, read the section of Chapter 5 (starts on page 266) that is applicable to the plants and birds of your region of North America. For example, for our backyard in New England, I referred to the Northeast section of Chapter 5 on pages 270 to 289.
