In a Speech made by Mary Robinson to the Irish Parliament in 1995 , Cherishing the Diaspora, she spoke of , ‘ The 70 million people of Irish descent who are scattered throughout the world.’ (1)

For a Country of around 6 million people , the Irish have , in boxing terms , punched more than their weight.
