Lesson 8: Outlook 2000
Creating and Using Tasks and Notes
Tasks
Use Tasks to enter and keep track of tasks you need to complete.
To create a new Task:
- Click on New
- In the Task tab, enter as much of the following as you wish: Subject, Due Date, Start Date, Status, Priority and % Complete. You can enter additional information in the large text box below if you wish
- Click on Save and Close to enter this information into Contacts
To delete a Task:
- Click on the Task you wish to delete
- Click on the Delete button
Notes
Use Notes to create sticky notes that you can drag and drop onto your Desktop.
To create a new Note:
- Click on New
- Type the information you wish to note
- Click on the X in the upper right of the note to Save and Close your note
You can double-click on your note to open it and drag it to your Desktop for quick access.
