Lesson 5: PowerPoint 2000

Distributing presentations in print and online

You can easily distribute your PowerPoint presentation in print or online.

To print your presentation:

  • Click on File – Print
  • In the Print what dropdown box, click on Slides, Handouts, Notes Pages or Outline View. If you have selected Handouts you can also select the number of Slides per page
  • Click on OK

To save your presentation for viewing online, save it as a Web Page.

To save your presentation for viewing online:

  • Click on File – Save As Web Page
  • Click on Save

You can move from slide to slide using the controller at the bottom of the screen.

Note that when saving the presentation as a web page, additional files are created in a sub-directory. The presentation is made up of the html file and a folder with the same name followed by _files. Both of these are essential to your presentation.
