Cold Calling

If the pot is raised before it is your turn to act, you will have to call the original big blind plus the raise to play in the hand. This is known as cold calling.

Unless you have a strong hand such as a pair of cards 10s or higher, or and ace and a second card of 10 or higher, you should not cold call any raises.
