Lesson 3: Preparing For the Foal

Introduction

This is the most exciting time waiting for your new foal. The due date is approaching and now you can actually do something to get prepared. In this lesson we will cover what you can do to insure a safe delivery and hopefully determine when she will foal so you can witness the blessed event.

At the end of this lesson you should be able to compile your kit of necessary items to have on hand, and know how to predict with as much accuracy as possible your mare’s foaling time using a temperature change method.
