Introduction
So you think you want to breed your mare, or at least you are considering it. This lesson will address the reasons for breeding your horse and help you determine if your horse is suitable by evaluating her positives and negatives. Have you chosen a stallion? How do you determine which stallion is the right one? And after you have chosen your horse’s true love, how do you proceed? This lesson will cover the pros and cons of different methods of breeding, and the legalities of the breeding contract. Once you’ve bred the mare, how do you determine if she is pregnant and when she is due?
