Lesson 6: Traveling with Seniors
Accommodations
Mobility access may also be an issue at the hotel. If the top floor of your hotel or motel is not wheelchair accessible, ask for a room on the bottom floor. Some rooms may also have slip proof tubs and bathroom railings.
Some campsites have paved pathways. Other campsites have beginner trails with gradual slopes. Both of these options are great for those with reduced mobility.
As with transportation, most motels and hotels have senior's discount. Often seniors receive free or discounted camping rates at state campsites. Coupons from various senior citizen associations and travel clubs can create further savings.
